Who we are

BioVanta Research supplies laboratory research materials from the UK. For questions about your data, email orders@biovantaresearch.com.

What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number where given, and the details of what you ordered. Card details are entered directly with our payment provider and never reach our servers.

When you contact us we keep the message and the address you sent it from so we can reply and keep a record of the enquiry.

We also collect basic, aggregated usage data about how the site is browsed, so we can keep it working properly.

Why we use it

To take payment, dispatch your order, provide tracking, answer enquiries and meet our bookkeeping and tax obligations. We do not sell your data, and we only send marketing email if you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

Only the providers needed to fulfil your order: our payment provider, our delivery carriers (tracked courier and DPD), our website hosting and our email provider. Each handles your data under contract and only for those purposes. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for six years to meet applicable record-keeping requirements. Enquiries not linked to an order are deleted after two years.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, including keeping your basket and your session during checkout. Any analytics cookies are only set where you have consented, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable format. Email orders@biovantaresearch.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in the UK.
