Research Library

The Biovanta Research library organises everything we publish about the compounds in our catalogue into structured research hubs. Each hub covers one compound: what the molecule is, which receptors it engages, what the published study programme has reported, how the peptide behaves as laboratory material, and how it compares with related peptides.

Pages are deliberately narrow and cross-linked, so each answers one research question and points to the neighbouring pages rather than repeating them. Every page cites the published literature it draws on.

Start with these research hubs

Metabolic Research

This grouping covers peptides studied for incretin and metabolic receptor signalling: GLP-1, GIP, glucagon and amylin receptor systems, glucose handling in laboratory models, and the pharmacokinetics of long-acting analogues.

Each compound engages a different combination of those receptors, so the hubs are deliberately separate rather than interchangeable. Reading them side by side shows how single, dual and triple receptor designs are characterised differently in the literature.

Retatrutide Research

Triple GIP / GLP-1 / glucagon receptor agonist

Research into triple receptor activity across the GLP-1, GIP and glucagon pathways, and how tri-agonism is characterised in the published literature.

Tirzepatide Research

Dual GIP / GLP-1 receptor agonist

Research into dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonism, including receptor selectivity, signalling bias and the study programme behind it.

Semaglutide Research

Long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist

Mazdutide Research

GLP-1 / glucagon dual agonist

Other Research

This grouping covers compounds outside the incretin field, where the receptor systems, assays and published evidence base are unrelated to metabolic signalling.

Keeping them in their own grouping avoids implying shared pharmacology, and keeps each hub focused on the receptor family actually under study.

Melanotan II Research

Cyclic melanocortin receptor agonist

Melanocortin receptor research: cyclic analogue structure, MC1R–MC5R activity and the selectivity questions raised in the literature.

Compare compound research

Comparison resources examine where two compounds actually differ: which receptors each one engages, how potency and signalling are reported, and what the published research programmes have and have not established. They are the controlled bridges between otherwise separate compound hubs.
